Sabrina is set to perform at the 2025 Grammy Awards! The academy has just announced some this years performers with Carpenter on list. Many news outlets including People, The Hollywood Reporter and Variety helped share the news. Snippets from each article can be read below. The 2025 Grammy Awards will broadcast live February 2, 2025 from 8 to 11:30 p.m. ET on CBS and will be available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+. This year, the ceremony will not only be celebrating music, but honoring those effected by and helping with the California wildfires.
On Friday, Jan. 24, the Recording Academy announced that nominees Benson Boone, Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, Charli xcx, Doechii, RAYE, Sabrina Carpenter, Shakira and Teddy Swims will perform at this year’s ceremony.
These performers include first-time nominees, several best new artist nominees along with Grammy winners and artists we can thank for fostering the ever-iconic brat summer.
Carpenter’s “Espresso” made her a global phenomenon — and also contributed to the six nods she received this year. The first-time Grammy-nominated artist is up for record of the year, album of the year, song of the year, best new artist, best pop solo performance and best pop solo album.
The Recording Academy also announced that Benson Boone, Doechii, RAYE and Teddy Swims will also perform at the Feb. 2 event. It will air live from the Crypto.com Arena in downtown Los Angeles and will raise funds to support wildfire relief efforts.
“The upcoming Grammy Awards won’t just be about celebrating and honoring the best in music this year, it will also show how the power of music can help rebuild, uplift and support those in need,” Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason jr says in a statement. “We are thrilled that so many artists in our community are banding together at this time to show support for their fellow music makers and others impacted by the recent wildfires.”
Following the wildfires in Los Angeles the Academy canceled some of its pre-Grammy events but still are moving forward with its Clive Davis Gala, MusiCares Person of the Year and the Special Merit Awards, and each of those events will now have a fundraising element.
Hosted by Trevor Noah, this year’s Grammy Awards will raise funds to support relief efforts after the devastating L.A. fires. Many traditional Grammy week events have been canceled, and the Recording Academy and MusiCares have pledged over $3.2 million in emergency aid to music professionals affected by the fires.
Carpenter and Roan are both first-time nominees, and will be competing for six awards including record of the year, album of the year, song of the year and best new artist.
