You’re already addicted to TV series The World of Riley (Girl Meets World) broadcast from September 1 on Disney Channel? It’s good, because Cool! did a bit of chatting with one of its stars, Sabrina Carpenter! Friendly and engaging a desire, we bet Sabrina quickly earn her place among your list of favorite stars!

WHEN DID YOU MAKE YOUR FIRST STEPS IN THE WORLD OF SHOWBIZ?
I started singing almost the same time I started to speak! At the age of two years, I often hummed nursery rhymes. Then about 11 years, I also turned me into an actress. It takes time and effort but it’s really fun!

AT 16 TODAY, DO YOU MANAGE TO LEAD A NORMAL LIFE LIKE ANY TEENAGER?
Definitely! I do exactly what I like and I do it by being surrounded by my friends and my family, then for me it is a normal life (laughs)!

DO YOU FEEL THE PRESSURE TO HAVE TO BE A ROLE MODEL FOR YOUNG GIRLS?
I think I have to make the right choices and make the right decisions for myself in the first place … Then, if it can inspire my fans to make good decisions, even better!

TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER IN THE TV SERIES “THE WORLD OF RILEY” (GIRL MEETS WORLD) …
Maya is a true rebel! She is probably the most daring of the band. She does not lack guts or confidence. Maya is also a very good friend.

DO YOU IDENTIFY YOURSELF WITH HER (MAYA) ON CERTAIN ASPECTS?
Yes, especially her sarcastic side!

WHAT IS LOVE LIKE FOR MAYA?
It’s funny because I always joke about it because it seems that the writers make her chained kick after kick (laughs)! Maya is a girl who loves to flirt, but it also tends to be a shell and is very vulnerable. Many things will happen soon in her love life, but I do not want to spoil it!

TELLS US A FUN TIME ON THE SET …
An episode was recently shot in which there is a lot of ice cream … From the beginning of the day, ice cream cone after ice cream cone. Let’s say that all the sugar has mounted our heads at some point of the day! (laughs)

LET’S TALK ABOUT MUSIC SINCE YOU LAUNCHED YOUR FIRST ALBUM, “EYES WIDE OPEN” THIS YEAR!
I consider myself extremely lucky because you learn a lot about yourself working on an album … We spend so much time putting our feelings on paper! So to hear the final product, it’s really something.

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE SONGS ON YOUR ALBUM?
I like the title track (“Eyes Wide Open”), otherwise I’d say, “To Young” or “Two Young Hearts”. I know, these are two very similar titles! (laughs)

WHAT IS THE FIRST SONG YOU WROTE?
No one should EVER hear it! (laughs) I don’t think it even had a title. The lyrics spoke of wanting to become a singer and it was very cheesy!
