Sabrina is the new brand ambassador for Prada Beauty and she’s been dropping Easter eggs about this collaboration for a while! She was first seen wearing Prada Beauty’s Astral Pink Lip Balm in the music video for her hit song, “Please Please Please” and later the Monochrome Soft Matte Refillable Lipstick in Tonka in her newest single, “Taste”. Vogue and Elle helped share the news and the full articles can be read below. Photos from the promotional photoshoot have been added to the gallery.
After years of experimentation, Sabrina Carpenter has finally perfected her signature beauty look. “Glowing skin, a statement lip, blushed cheeks, and fluttery lashes”, the 25-year-old singer tells me. And it couldn’t come at a better time: Carpenter just finished the first week of a 29-city concert tour. “I try to keep it simple, fresh, and natural so that it looks like I’m wearing the makeup instead of the makeup wearing me”.
It’s been a massive year for five-feet-nothing Carpenter. After opening for Taylor Swift on the Singapore and Australia legs of Eras Tour, she dropped the single “Espresso”, officially kicking off the phenomenon that became Pop-Girl Summer. Next came a surprise appearance at Vogue World Paris and her sixth studio album, Short n’ Sweet, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart and has already turned out two more iconic singles: “Please, Please, Please” and “Taste”. The accompanying music videos, which racked up a combined 184 million views and starred important figures in Carpenter’s real life, also had another thing in common: Right before diving into the fun, the singer always shared the screen with a silver tube of Prada Beauty. To some, it was just a pretty product in a video. But for Carpenter, it was an Easter egg pointing to some big news being announced today: Prada Beauty and Carpenter are making it official with a collaboration.
“It was so fun to drop little hints for my fans”, Carpenter says. “My music videos are such a labor of love, so I love incorporating elements that are authentic to me and add to the overall storyline. One of the reasons I’m excited about launching this with Prada Beauty is because their products emphasize some of my favorite features and give the perfect level of glam that makes me feel feminine but still sophisticated”.
Carpenter’s obsession with the brand was first chronicled in the video for “Please, Please, Please” (released in June), in which the doe-eyed blonde finds herself sprung from jail—somebody paid her bond!—and the two possessions returned to her are a pair of Projekt Produkt sunglasses and Prada Lip Balm. “I had to think, Okay, what product is on me at all times that I’d truthfully be picking up from jail?!” Carpenter muses. “Ever since I was first introduced to it by my makeup artist a few months ago, it’s without a doubt the Prada Blue Balm”. In the video, she dabs it on just before making eye contact with her love interest—Barry Keoghan—and the trouble begins.
In “Taste”, Carpenter swipes on her lipstick right before she battles scream queen Jenna Ortega for her man. (Spoiler alert: The lipstick perseveres, but the love interest does not.) “I loved the added flair of touching up my glam before the other antics commenced [in this video]”, Carpenter says. “I knew I wanted to use my current favorite lipstick, the Prada Monochrome in Tonka”.
With her tour underway, Carpenter has brought Prada Beauty with her on the road. So far her mauve pink signature lip has been spotted in Columbus, Ohio, and Toronto, with many more cameos to come. “I’ve been a fan of Prada for so many years”, she says. “I had a sneak peek of some of their new products recently, and I’m excited for what’s ahead”.

We’ll keep this Short n’ Sweet: pop sensation Sabrina Carpenter can now add “Prada Beauty partner” to her rapidly expanding resume. The singer has had quite a year; she’s had multiple singles go beyond viral (“That’s that me espresso”, anyone?), created her first Erewhon smoothie, and sold out Prada Beauty’s Astral Pink Lip Balm after wearing it in her “Please Please Please” music video, which featured the one and only Barry Keoghan of Saltburn. So naturally, Prada Beauty has tapped Carpenter as the latest ambassador for the brand.
“I’ve been inspired by Prada fashion for years, so to be partnering with Prada Beauty is surreal, and just a natural fit with how my overall style and love for makeup has evolved, and where it’s headed”, Carpenter said in a press release.
The partnership is just beginning; surely Carpenter will star in the brand’s campaign for its much-anticipated 2025 releases. Prada Beauty launched in the U.S. earlier this year, and its oeuvre includes everything from a skin cream to the Monochrome Soft Matte Lipstick, which also counts Carpenter among its fans. Eagle-eyed fans might have even guessed a partnership was coming after watching the pop star swipe on some Prada lipstick at the beginning of her new “Taste” music video.
“After using the lipsticks and balms nonstop over the past few months, I can’t wait for my fans to see what Prada Beauty and I are working on heading into next year”, Carpenter added.
